The Mahwah Historic Preservation Commission allocated outreach responsibilities at its May 21 meeting, assigning each member four properties to photograph and post to the Commission's Facebook page on an established schedule for July 2026 through June 2027.
Members were asked to contact homeowners when visiting properties and to remind them that additional information about historic ordinances and procedures is available on the town website. Jack Pfister agreed to lead Facebook posting and may recruit help; he and Chair Regina Toomey Bueno will receive post material from other members.
The Commission also discussed ordering Historic Commission shirts for site visits and events; Secretary Jennifer Storms will research vendors and report back with options.
The schedule and a description of committee responsibilities were distributed; the Commission did not take a funding vote at the meeting.
