President Imhoff and the Muscoda Village Board on May 13 approved a contract with Delta 3 Engineering to prepare final plats and construction plans for the proposed School Forest Residential Subdivision off County Road P.
Administrator Cinda Johnson said Delta 3 will prepare a final subdivision plat and construction plans for review by the plan commission and village board in fall 2025, with state review (typically three to four months) and Grant County approval to follow. Permitting and final construction specifications would be prepared in early 2026 with a construction-bid opening planned for spring 2026 and construction to begin as early as spring or summer 2026.
Trustee Seifert moved to contract with Delta 3; the motion passed on a unanimous roll-call vote (Yes — Miller, Hill, Anderson, Wiederholt, Seifert, Imhoff).
In the same item the board approved renaming the subdivision street then listed as Christmas Tree Lane to Willow Street. The vote on the street-name change (motion Seifert, second Wiederholt) was 4–2: Yes — Seifert, Wiederholt, Miller, Imhoff; No — Anderson, Hill.
Johnson told the board zoning districts, covenants and details for single-family, duplex and multifamily lots remain to be determined. The board discussed whether to restrict covenants (for example limits on detached garages, number of vehicles or outbuildings) and agreed those details must be set before the final plat goes to the state.
Next steps include Delta 3 submitting the final plat to the Wisconsin Department of Administration after village approvals and returning to the board with construction plans and permit submittals. No final zoning or covenant decisions were adopted at the May 13 meeting.
