The Tonopah Town Board on Jan. 28 tabled a request from Tonopah Main Street for a letter of support for a FY27 Travel Nevada Rural Marketing Grant application after a letter was not provided for the board to sign.
Vice‑Chairman Joni Eastley said she was not aware what was being applied for or the deadline date. Bethany Thompson, who raised the request during the meeting’s agenda item, stated the application is due in March. The board agreed to place the item on a future agenda so a letter can be produced and reviewed.
No formal vote on a support letter occurred at the Jan. 28 meeting; the item was postponed to allow board members time to review the request and materials.
