The Tonopah Town Board voted unanimously on Feb. 11 to approve a letter of support for CoreTer’s Tonopah Airport Ore Processing Project following a presentation by company representative Scott Dockter.
Vice Chair Joni Eastley moved to approve the letter of support and Member Douglas Baker seconded; the motion carried 4-0. The board received CoreTer’s presentation and supporting materials, which were made part of the meeting backup.
No detailed terms, approvals of land use entitlements, or financial commitments by the town were recorded in the minutes. The vote authorized only a formal letter of support; any permits, contracts or regulatory approvals required for an ore-processing operation would proceed under state and federal permitting and review processes beyond the town board’s endorsement.
