The Dalton Select Board heard an update on the transfer station: the committee has asked New Hampshire Recycles to evaluate the facility and recommend improvements, and the board received one resume for the transfer-station attendant vacancy after the incumbent gave notice.
Clerk said New Hampshire Recycles will provide an evaluation of the transfer station and the committee hopes to schedule the visit for the next meeting. Regarding staffing, the board received one application and members agreed to interview the candidate, likely toward the end of the meeting or at an upcoming session once the road agent and other relevant staff are available.
The discussion also touched on broader recycling arrangements with Casella; board members said they have not received a final pricing response from the company and will continue to follow up.
