Clerk reported that committee member John sent the reimbursement request by email shortly before Memorial Day. "He wants to request for reimbursement from Casello," the Clerk said; board members noted there is no written agreement from Casella to pay those costs and therefore elected not to send a reimbursement request without documentation.
"I would say right now, no," a board member said, adding the board might reconsider if John can provide something in writing from Casella promising reimbursement. Clerk agreed to ask John to supply written evidence if available; otherwise the board will not advance a formal request.
The board’s decision was procedural and did not bind future action. Members agreed it would not hurt to ask if Casella would reimburse, but they did not want the request to be filed and then ignored or forgotten without a commitment.
