Francestown Select Board accepts abatement response for property spanning Francestown and Weare; approves tax warrants and advances routine matters

The motion to accept and approve the consent agenda was made by Mr. Heath and seconded by Mr. Pyle and the motion passed.
Chief Philibert introduced Officer Garrett Anctil as a part-time officer candidate; minutes note Anctil has 10 years in policing and currently serves with the Henniker Police Department. Chief Kullgren demonstrated upgrades recently completed on a town utility vehicle and noted Mt. Crotched contributed approximately $12,500 toward the upgrades. The Heritage Commission will review a proposed sale of Map 5 Lot 52 and Town Administrator Jamie A Pike will prepare and circulate a draft deed reflecting board revisions to draft sale conditions.
The minutes also record that zoning violation issues at 338 Bennington Road have been resolved and the court order closed. The open full-time highway position is being advertised through June 10, 2026. With no further business, a motion to adjourn was moved by Mr. Heath, seconded by Mr. Pyle, and Chair Karen Kitzgerald adjourned the meeting at 6:23 p.m.
