Committee asks staff for Gantt-style project reports as capital and ARPA updates continue

Scott Shamrock, the county’s Projects and Grant Specialist, presented a packet of updates on capital and ARPA-funded projects at the Jan. 5 General Operations Committee meeting and distributed a handout with project statuses. In response to the update, Commissioner J. Wes Wynne moved and the committee unanimously voted to request Gantt-style reports from staff for future construction and capital projects.
During the county mayor’s report, Mayor John Isbell said the state is finalizing its approval process for the Millersville EMS station and that appraisal work is underway for the Cottontown flood mitigation plan. The committee packet includes a master projects list showing individual project budgets and percent-complete figures; staff noted several projects at varying stages of completion.
