Owensville adopts three ordinances and approves pay‑step salary plan

Bill No. 2025‑4, read and placed on final passage by Alderman Lahmeyer, authorizes the mayor to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Gasconade County R‑II School District to clarify the parties' positions regarding a 2008 annexation of district property. The mayor put the question to a roll call; Aldermen Kramme, Breeden, Lahmeyer and Bohl voted aye and the ordinance was adopted as Ordinance No. 1467.
Bill No. 2025‑5, introduced by Alderman Bohl, approves a lease with Sno Town for 205 South 2nd Street to be used as a fire training house. After a second reading and a motion by Alderman Lahmeyer to place the bill on final passage, the council approved the ordinance by roll call; it became Ordinance No. 1468.
Bill No. 2025‑6, brought forward by Alderman Breeden, vacates certain previously dedicated right‑of‑way while reserving an easement to the city for water‑line and other utility purposes. Aldermen voted to adopt the ordinance as No. 1469 by roll call.
The board also approved Resolution No. 2025‑1, adopting an updated Step & Grade Salary Plan for fiscal year 2025–2026 that applies a 2.5% cost‑of‑living adjustment to each pay grade entry level. Alderman Kramme moved and Alderman Bohl seconded the resolution, which carried without dissent.
