Police Chief J. Filipi gave a general update to the Select Board on equipment and seasonal patrol planning at the May 14 meeting.
Filipi reported that town seal decals for vehicles and equipment have been completed and received and that the speed trailer has been cleaned and freshly painted. Identification decals were removed from the old cruiser so the vehicle can be used by the Code Enforcement investigator and the Police Chief.
The chief said he will be in town for Memorial Day events on May 25. He also noted he will be on vacation starting May 26 for one week and that coverage during his absence will be provided by State Police and Harrisville. Evening patrols are planned to begin in June, with increased patrols around July 4. The board discussed areas to monitor around lakes and ponds as summer activities begin.
