Owensville Board approves consent agenda, hears reports and schedules cleanup day

The Owensville Board of Aldermen approved its consent agenda and heard brief department reports at its Feb. 3 meeting.
Consent agenda: A motion by Alderman Bohl, seconded by Alderman Kramme, approved the Jan. 21 minutes, the January accounts payable report, and the Collector’s report; the motion carried without dissent.
Department reports: The City Marshal and EMA Director reported no city business. The Fire Chief was commended by City Administrator Randy Blaske for calm response during a recent accident; Mayor Kevin McFadden praised the firefighters. The Owensville Fire Department reported 48 calls as of Feb. 3, 2025. Code Enforcement reported four violations in January and will investigate a resident complaint about a bus blocking part of an alley near 111 W Madison.
Community events: The board noted an upcoming Spring Market in the Park on April 26 and a City Cleanup Day on May 3 (9 a.m.–noon) at a new Memorial Park location just inside the fenced area across from the waterpark.
Adjournment: With no further business, a motion to adjourn was made by Alderman Lahmeyer, seconded by Alderman Bohl, and the meeting adjourned at 7:27 p.m.
