Owensville aldermen adopt three ordinances, approve consent agenda

The Owensville Board of Aldermen unanimously approved three ordinances during its Jan. 21, 2025 meeting and carried a consent agenda that included a liquor license for Rock Island Tavern.
Mayor Kevin McFadden asked for final passage after readings of Bill No. 2025-1, an ordinance authorizing an agreement with the Gasconade County R-II School District for the high school golf team; Aldermen Dan Breeden, Matthew Kramme, Alderman Bohl and Alderman Lahmeyer voted aye and Ordinance No. 1464 passed. Bill No. 2025-2, approving a contract with StarGuard Elite, LLC, was then read and adopted as Ordinance No. 1465 by the same unanimous vote. The board next approved Bill No. 2025-3, a renewal of the Abatement Order of Consent (AOC) with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, extending the AOC for 10 years; Ordinance No. 1466 passed unanimously.
Earlier in the meeting the board approved the consent agenda on a motion by Alderman Bohl, seconded by Alderman Lahmeyer; the consent items included the Dec. 16, 2024 minutes, the December accounts payable report, the collector’s report and the liquor license with Sunday sales for Rock Island Tavern.
City Clerk Peggy Farrell certified the municipal election ballot for the April 8, 2025 election, listing Dan Breeden and Carson Greener for Alderman Ward 1 and Matthew Kramme for Alderman Ward 2.
