Nelson and Harrisville discuss recycling-center access; Nelson suggests resident permit model

Officials noted Nelson’s summer population increases by about 100 people, which Harrisville may consider when assessing whether labor costs would need to increase under a shared-access arrangement. The board agreed to report the population estimate to the Harrisville board for their consideration.
No formal intermunicipal agreement or financial commitment was approved at the Aug. 6 meeting; the matter will be discussed further with Harrisville.
