The Emmet County Board of Supervisors cleared a package of routine items at its July 14 regular meeting, approving claims and drainage payments, accepting a financial reporting item, and granting event and transit approvals.
Key votes at the meeting included approval of July claims (with a correction changing a vendor from City of Armstrong to B & W Weed Specialists), approval of July drainage claims, and approval of a joint drainage claim, ECD 61, for $961.25 to Beck Engineering. The Board also voted to accept the GASB 75 report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026.
Community and intergovernmental actions included approving courthouse-square use and A17 bridge access for Sweet Corn Days on Aug. 1 (letter from the Sweet Corn Days Planning Committee) and voting to enter the FY 2027 Regional Transit Authority (RIDES) 28 E Agreement.
Other items reviewed by the Board included the Veterans Affairs quarterly report and the Treasurer's semi-annual report. Media representative Mike Tidemann said the City of Ringsted received a community development grant for the Ringsted Library, which will trigger the LOSST fund match previously approved by the Board. Supervisor Todd Glasnapp also noted Danish Days on Aug. 8 in Ringsted. The Board adjourned at 9:40 a.m.

Next steps: the minutes record the items as approved; specific implementation actions (payments issued, agreement execution dates) were not detailed in the meeting minutes.
