The Piscataway Planning Board authorized retention of Foresight Planning to prepare an amendment to an area-in-need study for Block 55701, Lots 110.01 and 12 and to evaluate whether an additional 5,000-square-foot parcel at 96 Woodland Avenue should be included, primarily to address stormwater-management concerns.
Staff explained the parcel would be studied to determine if it should be added to the earlier area-in-need study. "They need this additional lot for stormwater management," staff said, describing the action as an authorization for a limited study rather than a change in zoning. Dawn Perkins moved to authorize the engagement and Councilwoman Cahill seconded; the board approved the motion on roll call with the members present voting yes.
Staff said Foresight will investigate and issue a report; the board expected to review Foresight's findings at the next or subsequent meeting.
