Resource Committee hears near-completion updates on community buildings, asks staff to follow up on stalled projects

The Resource Committee received updates from Management Resources and Real Estate Services on ongoing facility work and property matters. David Moore of Management Resources told the committee that multiple community spaces are close to completion and that a vendor amendment and signature are the remaining steps for a kitchen vent hood order at the Catoosa daycare.

The report prompted questions from council members about timelines and outstanding punch-list items. A councilor asked specifically about the North Tulsa facility and the Catoosa daycare; Moore said the projects are "pretty close" and that he was awaiting final signatures on an amendment so the vendor could order the vent hood. He added that the wellness space flooring is due to arrive and that the contractor team "wanna get it done," calling them "a good group of guys."

Council members also pressed for updates on the Lost City project, which remains in the design phase. A councilor asked whether anything was needed from the committee to keep momentum; Moore said he would confer with a colleague ("Dio") and follow up with the council. On the Keyes property, Moore clarified that ground maintenance is handled by the housing authority when the housing authority owns the parcel: "If it's housing authority, they do," he said.

Ginger Reeves from Real Estate Services reported she had made contact regarding the Lowry matter and was awaiting a callback, and she said a survey for the Lower Illinois River property had been completed and the written report is being finalized for delivery to staff.

The committee took no formal policy actions on the project updates. The chair opened and closed discussion; earlier in the meeting members approved the minutes of the June 8 regular session by voice vote (mover and seconder not specified in the transcript).
