River Ridge board accepts supervisor resignation, seeks candidates for Seat 1

The River Ridge Community Development District Board of Supervisors accepted the resignation of Supervisor James Gilman (Seat 1) and discussed the process to appoint a replacement for the unexpired term that runs through November 2026.
Mrs. Adams presented Mr. Gilman’s resignation letter and the Board later approved acceptance on a motion by Supervisor Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Supervisor Robert Twombly. Because the action is an appointment to fill the seat (not an election), the Board directed that Mr. Long and The Meadows’ POA manager e‑blast residents to publicize the vacancy, candidate qualification requirements and request resumes or letters of interest ahead of the next meeting.
The administrative packet listed required post‑appointment steps including the administration of the oath of office, required ethics training, sample Form 1 filing instructions, membership responsibilities, the Sunshine Amendment and Form 8B (memorandum of voting conflict).
