Board approves two hires and selects four architects for district pool

Following a closed session for personnel matters, the Schertz‑Cibolo‑Universal City ISD board returned to open session Monday and approved several routine but consequential items.
The board voted 6–0 to employ Priscilla Ringo as assistant principal at Jordan Intermediate for the 2026–27 school year. The motion was presented by administration and carried without further discussion.
Trustees also voted 6–0 to hire Anthony Kossev as director of human resources for the 2026–27 school year; the motion was moved, seconded and approved during open session after the recommendation in closed session.
On procurement, the board accepted an evaluation committee’s recommendation to add the top four ranked firms to the district’s IDIQ architectural services pool (RFQ 26‑020v). The selected firms are O'Connell Robertson, Pflueger Architects Inc., LPA and Alamo Architects; the motion to accept the rankings passed 6–0.
The board recessed briefly during the meeting and later adjourned at 7:58 p.m.
