Bristol City Council adopts updated Comprehensive Plan on second reading

The Bristol City Council on Nov. 12 approved Ordinance 24-16, adopting the City of Bristol Comprehensive Plan on second reading. Councilmembers thanked staff for the multi-stage process; the plan and future land-use map will be posted online.
On Nov. 12 the Bristol City Council approved the City of Bristol Comprehensive Plan on second reading.
Community Development Director Jay Detrick said the plan and the Future Land Use Map had been recommended by the Planning Commission and that staff posted materials as required. Council reviewed the work session held Sept. 26 and noted the joint public hearing earlier in the process. Mayor Becky Nave thanked staff and Vice Mayor Jake Holmes and Councilmember Neal Osborne echoed appreciation for the staff's effort and called the Comprehensive Plan a "roadmap for the City’s future." Councilmember Michael Pollard said he was excited about the plan's recommendations.
Councilmember Neal Osborne moved for second-reading approval by caption only; Vice Mayor Jake Holmes seconded. The motion passed unanimously, 5–0. City Manager/City Attorney Randall Eads read Ordinance 24-16 approving the plan.
