Public arts committee outlines requirements and next steps for downtown mural project

Committee members also raised maintenance concerns linked to the parking lot where the mural is planned, including the need for general cleanup and clearer signage for electric vehicle charging stations. The group discussed potential names for the nearby bike trail and Tabb recommended partnering with the Beautification Committee and advising the city to accept a donation of a bicycle for the trail program. No formal vote on the mural occurred at this meeting; the committee set application and affidavit requirements as prerequisites for review.
