Ellisville council swears in Robert Clark Compton as mayor; Mike Roemerman sworn to council

Robert Clark Compton was sworn in as mayor and took the chair at the May 6 Ellisville City Council meeting, and Mike Roemerman was sworn as Council Member for District 3. City Clerk Leigh A. Dohack administered the oaths of office following an acknowledgement of outgoing mayoral service.
The council presented proclamations recognizing Council Member Curt Boggs for his years of service to the Economic Development Commission, the Planning and Zoning Commission and the council. Additional proclamations thanked Etta Roemerman and City Manager Schwer for their support during Roemerman’s mayoral term. County Council Member Mark Harder presented a St. Louis County Council proclamation recognizing Roemerman’s service as mayor; Mayor-elect Compton presented a gavel plaque to Roemerman.
The formal oath and seating took effect immediately: after the administration of oaths Mayor Compton took the mayor’s seat and Council Member Boggs stepped down at the dais to allow Council Member Roemerman to occupy that place. The meeting then proceeded to the evening’s agenda items.
