Canton board rejects proposed FY25 supplement and administrative/support salary changes in 3–2 vote

At its Aug. 13 meeting the Canton Public School District Board of Trustees rejected two personnel-related items proposed under the consent agenda: a revised FY25 supplement (item 11.10) and revised FY25 administrative/support salaries and scales (item 11.11).
Dr. Shivochie Dinkins moved to reject the two items; Mr. Peter Brown seconded the motion. Trustees Dr. Shivochie Dinkins, Mr. Peter Brown and Mr. Lenderrick Taylor voted in favor of rejection. Chair Johnny Brown and Mr. Glen Lacey voted against rejecting the items. The motion to reject therefore passed 3–2.
