Mayor Zimmerman used the committee remarks portion of the Aug. 12 meeting to share community announcements and administrative updates. He said the 2023 municipal audit has been completed with no findings and thanked the administrator, CMFO and township departments for their work.
The mayor reminded residents of an Aug. 27 senior dinner (6:00 p.m. at the Community Center) and Police Night Out scheduled for Sept. 19 from 5:00–8:00 p.m. at Chestnut Branch Park. He also said resident Ahsley Levinson will lead a Paint Mantua Pink week and that a proclamation will be presented at Chestnut Branch Park on Oct. 5 at 11:00 a.m.
Zimmerman said the township is working on a new website to replace the decade-old site and that the replacement should take about two months to launch. He also said tax bills have not yet been mailed but are expected within the next two weeks and that residents may contact the tax office or view the website for details once bills are issued.
No votes or motions were recorded related to these announcements; they were presented for resident information and administrative planning.
