On public safety, Davis described a new PPP model—police, pastors and people—that he said would bridge law enforcement and faith leaders to reach at‑risk youth and intervene before crimes escalate. He named partner groups, including the African American Police Officer League and the Houston Police Officers' Union (HPOU), and invited pastors to volunteer for the advisory board.
Davis also introduced individuals who will work with the advisory board and reviewed logistics for the breakfast and future meetings. He urged ministers to take the invitation seriously, saying the group's purpose is to "put our input into how we help the city."
