District outlines communications plan for supplemental levy, plans mailers and booklet

The Teton County School District outlined a communications plan to support a supplemental levy, including a booklet for the July 28 working meeting, a general brochure planned for late July/early August, and a countywide trifold mailer targeted for late September or early October.
"We have a supplemental levy plan, a communication plan that includes a brochure that we're working on right now," Superintendent Brian Ashen said. He said the district will supplement print materials with social media and signs and that the direct marketing investment is intended to improve the levy’s chances of passing.
Board members requested to review materials before distribution. Chair asked that the booklet and any materials planned for August be shown at the July 28 working meeting. Diane confirmed the working meeting agenda additions. One board member also asked the attorney-provided draft ballot initiative be added to the agenda; attendees discussed filing timelines and noted a mid-August filing target, with an August 4 meeting flagged as a possible approval date for the ballot resolution.
Ashen said the booklet would be available for the July 28 meeting and that the trifold/mailout would follow later in the fall campaign schedule. The board did not vote on the levy at this meeting; next steps are review of the booklet and the ballot draft at the working meeting.
