Jackson Select Board raises procurement ceiling to $20,000 and adopts PCard policy

The Jackson Select Board voted to revise its procurement policy and to adopt a credit-card (PCard) policy during its Jan. 20 meeting.
Members approved an amendment to raise the blanket purchase threshold from $10,000 to $20,000. The board recorded that the change is intended to reflect rising costs and that recurring purchases above $20,000 may be allowed to proceed using a single bid process with periodic review of those arrangements at least every three years. Bob Thompson moved the edit to section 7 to raise the threshold; Barbara Campbell seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The board also reviewed the credit card purchase policy (PCard), which complements the procurement policy, and voted to approve it as written. No additional changes were recorded. The adoption takes effect immediately as the board approved both motions during the meeting.
