Board adopts student-involvement policy, schedules closed session and approves ethics readoption

At the meeting, board members approved several procedural and policy items.

Policy IGDAA: After discussion about device rules and staff review, Speaker 8 moved to adopt IGDAA (student involvement in activities and events). The motion passed on voice vote following discussion about timing and staff guidance, including a forthcoming MSBA webinar and suggested communications for open house materials.

Ethics/readoption: The board also approved readoption of the MSBA-recommended board-member conflict-of-interest policy (DBFA) on a motion and voice vote.
