"The program currently feeds around 50-60 people a week and the program is not grant funded," Beane said. "They do have a church who helps with a $500 a month contribution. All cooking is done by volunteers at home and brought to the Senior Center to pack and serve. The program does not turn anyone away and does not require any paperwork." Beane emphasized the volunteer-run nature of the effort and its open-access policy.
