The Laconia Public Library Board of Trustees voted on March 26 to adopt a revised Policy Manual and to update trustee leadership roles. Trustee Marie Bradley moved to accept the revised manual and Trustee Matthew Johnson seconded; the motion passed unanimously, according to meeting minutes.
The board also approved an internal leadership change: Trustee Matthew Johnson will assume the role of treasurer and Trustee Aaron Bassett will chair the Investment Committee. Bassett said he will contact Bank of New Hampshire Wealth Management to schedule the next quarterly investment meeting at the bank.
The board approved the February 19, 2026 minutes earlier in the meeting after Trustee Sally Sessler moved to accept them and Trustee Marie Bradley seconded. The minutes record motions and approvals but do not include a roll-call tally.
The board noted upcoming administrative items: the City Council will consider trustee reappointments on April 13, 2026. The board set future meeting dates for April 23 and May 21, 2026, with June to be determined.
