Commission notes DOT permit filing and DES instream-flow hearing; regional events listed

The Kensington Conservation Commission on April 14 recorded several regional items of interest to local conservation oversight. Members were informed that a dredge-and-fill permit has been filed for the DOT project on Route 150 at Winkley Brook.
The commission also noted the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (DES) Protected Instream Flow Study ranked the Exeter River highest; a public hearing on the study was scheduled for April 24, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Members flagged the hearing as relevant to local water-resource management.
Commissioners also listed the Rockingham Conservation Commission Roundtable on June 25 (5:30–7:00 p.m.), and that the Seabrook Hampton Estuary Alliance is recruiting members; Pam Holland indicated she would pursue further outreach. The commission reminded members of a SELT movie night at the Music Hall the coming Friday.
