Multiple commissioners echoed the appreciation and described the retention as the result of coordinated work with local and state partners. One commissioner said the effort to hold the business involved "an enormous amount of hard work and vigilance," and that losing the employer would have had substantial consequences for the community.
The board did not take formal action on the announcement; the comments were made as part of the county administrator's report to the commission.
