Cromwell said the earlier proposal had been led by Marty Connolly in conjunction with the Temple church; Board Chair Bruce Kullgren, Jr. noted his father had also been involved in envisioning a YMCA on the site. Cromwell said the town had been divided over the original land purchase and described herself as neutral in sharing the historical plan.
Board member Matt Cabana said he would scan the paper plan so the file could be attached to the minutes and made available to the public record. The board made no decision on current development proposals for the site at this meeting.
