The Montrose County Board of County Commissioners on Sept. 18 announced Frank Rodriguez as the county manager selection following a public recruitment process. The announcement was followed by remarks from Rodriguez, who said he was "very humbled by this opportunity," thanked the commissioners and staff and pledged to give his full effort to the role.
Commissioners thanked interim county manager Emily Sanchez for carrying the office during the recruitment and said formal contract approval and ratification will be required before Rodriguez assumes the role. The board did not vote on a contract at the Sept. 18 meeting. Rodriguez addressed the room and family members present and said he looked forward to working with staff and the community.
