Commissioners used part of the March 5 meeting to review near-term fundraising and outreach plans. Ed Harmon reported that he and a contact have been working on a proposed meat raffle; Harry Harmon was not present to provide an update. Harmon also said he found a seed supplier and identified carving pumpkins that can yield multiple pumpkins per vine; he will coordinate seed selection with Aaron Fernandes before any purchases.
Lisa Tetreault said packaging bags will be needed and that the group should set a firm date soon so seeds can be packaged and delivered to the school in time. Angela Young proposed creating a commission webpage using Wix and volunteered to develop an online sales-only site for commission items.
The scholarship item was tabled and will be revisited later. Several reappointments are due in June and any personnel movement will wait until that month.
Follow-up tasks assigned in the minutes include Angela producing the sales site and Ed following up with his contact on the meat raffle; timing for seed orders and packaging remains to be set.
