Berkley Agricultural Commission accepts minutes, waives memorial plaque fee for member

At its March 5, 2026 meeting, the Town of Berkley Agricultural Commission unanimously approved acceptance of the minutes from its Feb. 5 meeting and passed a motion to waive the fee for a memorial plaque if a current commission member dies.
Ed Harmon moved to accept the Feb. 5 minutes; Mike Moreau seconded and the motion carried with no opposition. Later in the meeting, Angela Young moved to waive the plaque fee for current members who pass away; Ed Harmon seconded and the motion also passed unanimously.
Following the vote on the plaque, Lisa Tetreault said she would contact King Designs to order a plaque for the late George Faria and would notify families who have already purchased name plates about when the plaque will be hung. Tetreault also said she would coordinate with Bryan to verify the names on checks received so no donors are omitted.
Having no further discussion, Ed Harmon moved to adjourn at 6:56 p.m.; the minutes indicate the meeting concluded that evening. The minutes list 6:15 p.m. as the meeting time in the header but record that the meeting was called to order at 6:22 p.m.
