New 'Grow Our Downtown' nonprofit introduced to council; organizers working to reestablish social presence

Nappi said the group is still organizing a media committee and has not yet activated a new social page. Council members asked whether the previous Downtown Poplar Bluff Facebook page could be recovered; Nappi said the prior page appears to have been deleted and she had not been able to reactivate it without someone with account access.
Council members praised the quick formation of the group and expressed willingness to support the nonprofit. No formal city funding or action was requested at the meeting.
