Gary Fenstermaker said the town has an approved list of trees and noted that Ponderosa is on that list. Kay added that a 10‑foot nursery tree typically costs between $300 and $500, and councilmembers asked staff to propose locations around town where the trees would be a good fit.
Council gave direction for staff to meet with the Forest Service and return with feasibility information and proposed planting sites; no formal vote was taken.
