During the meeting’s student spotlight, a presenter highlighted two student leaders: senior Dustin DeBold and junior Reese Vindorn. The presenter described Reese Vindorn as active in the New Era Show Choir and cheer squad, and credited her with organizing communications using ParentSquare and proposing improvements such as new senior parking arrangements.
"Reese is an exceptional leader and asset to our building," the presenter said, noting that both students demonstrate leadership and school spirit and that student council president Jessa has already proposed several events for the year.
Board members and meeting participants congratulated the students and praised staff members by name for their work with students, singling out Miss Hart for classroom support and Coach Staithe for contributions to health education. The district also thanked community partners, including Parkview Sports Medicine, for support to student programs.
The recognition preceded a longer presentation of the district’s strategic plan and routine operational updates.
