City approves two liquor-license transfers for Johnny’s Tavern and Clarion Hotel

The Williston Board of City Commissioners on May 26 approved two liquor-license transfers after brief public hearings.
President Klug said both the Johnny’s Tavern and Clarion Hotel & Suites transfers had been previously discussed and that applicants had complied with requirements. Klug opened each public hearing, called for comment three times and closed both hearings after hearing none.
For Johnny’s Tavern, Commissioner Gjovig moved and Commissioner Bervig seconded approval of the transfer of the general on-sale license; the motion carried 5-0. For the Clarion Hotel & Suites, Commissioner Bervig moved and Commissioner Siemieniewski seconded approval of the hotel/motel liquor license transfer; the motion carried 5-0.
