Land Board unanimously approves timber sales, easements and two rule amendments

The Board of Land Commissioners voted unanimously on Jan. 21 to approve timber sales A & B, an easement item and amendments to real estate management and recreational use rules after DNRC staff presented each item.
Amanda Kaster, director of the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, provided overviews for each agenda item. Austin Knudsen, Attorney General, moved to approve the Dec. 16, 2024 minutes at the start of the session; Christi Jacobsen, Secretary of State, seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Votes at a glance: The board approved item 0125-1 (timber sales A & B), item 0125-2 (easements), item 0125-3 (real estate management project rule amendments) and item 0125-4 (recreational use rule amendments). Each motion was moved and seconded as noted in the minutes and each carried on a 5-0 vote.
