Bonduel RDA discusses naming Village Hall greenspace and explores lower-cost corner shelter option

The Village of Bonduel Redevelopment Authority heard updates Aug. 12, 2025, on improvements and naming for the Village Hall greenspace.
RDA member Jesse Rankin reported that illuminated “Bonduel” letters have been installed in the Village Hall greenspace. Rankin said Torborg’s quote for a corner pavilion was higher than the project budget allowed. He added that friends of Ben Pleshko are preparing a plan and a quote for a corner shelter intended to fit the existing budget.
By consensus the board agreed to hold a Facebook contest inviting residents to submit suggestions for the greenspace name and tabled further action to the next meeting so staff and volunteers can finalize costs and options.
Next steps: RDA staff and volunteer supporters will return with the friends group’s shelter plan and a recommended budget; the naming contest will be launched on the RDA’s Facebook page.
