The Perryville Board of Aldermen on Jan. 20 approved a slate of routine financial items and contracts, adopted several easement ordinances and authorized agreements tied to tornado recovery work.
The consent agenda — which included approval of minutes and December 2025 financial reports — passed on a motion by Alderman David J. Schumer and a second from Alderman Curt Buerck. The consent list included bond principal and interest payments related to the Waterworks and Sewerage System Revenue Bonds and multiple purchase orders and reimbursements, among them a final pay estimate to Lappe Cement Finishing for $153,479.11 and a sidewalk reimbursement to Gotto Investments for $27,318.33.
On resolutions the board authorized a hangar rental agreement with Steven Greenwell (Resolution No. 2026-06), contracts with multiple artists for the city’s 2026 public sculpture displays (Resolution No. 2026-07), a contract with Bootheel Fence Co., Inc. for parks fencing repair (Resolution No. 2026-08), an amended agreement with Navigate Building Solutions, LLC for consulting on emergency facility improvements related to the March 14–15, 2025 tornado (Resolution No. 2026-09), and an amended disaster recovery services contract with RSB, Inc. d/b/a ServPro (Resolution No. 2026-10). Each resolution passed on voice votes recorded as carried; the ordinances and resolutions that recorded a roll-call vote were unanimous among the five members present with one member absent.
City Clerk Lydia Rellergert administered the oath of office to newly appointed Deputy Marshals Seth Pittman and Ben Davis. The board also acknowledged employee tenure awards ranging from five years to 40 years of service.
City Administrator Brent Buerck and staff provided routine project updates: MoDOT review of shared-use path plans, submission of roundabout plans for Alma Avenue targeting a Fall 2026 start, ongoing work to satisfy an EDA application curing letter, and progress on an equipment order for the 2025 generators project. Alderman Clint Rice announced the Finance Committee’s 2026–27 budget review meeting for Jan. 27 at 5:30 p.m.
The meeting adjourned after a brief closed session on real estate, personnel and contractual matters under Section 610.021 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri; the board reconvened and set its next regular meeting for Feb. 3, 2026.
