The Frederick County Liquor Board unanimously approved three new liquor licenses and granted a conditional transfer during its June 8 meeting.
Commissioner Debbie Burrell moved to grant conditional approval for The Elk's Haven (Application #262549) for the use of Elks Haven, LLC, with conditions to be met by July 15, 2026; Commissioner Christopher Glass seconded. The motion passed unanimously, with Chair Joan Aquilino, Commissioner Glass and Commissioner Burrell voting Aye.
The Board then approved a license for True Standard Distilling (Application #262561), presented by Brian Allen and Ashley Allen for the use of Oxford Distilling, LLC; the Board voted unanimously to grant approval effective immediately. The Board also approved Sunset N Main (Application #262577), represented by Dana Briggs and Philip Briggs, with an immediate effective date after a unanimous vote.
On transfer business, Timothy Hill sought approval for Fogon Latino Restaurant (Application #262566). Commissioner Burrell moved to grant conditional approval until September 30, 2026, pending compliance with applicable state, county, municipal and Liquor Board regulations; Commissioner Glass seconded. The Board voted unanimously to grant conditional approval.
The decisions were procedural and unopposed: each motion was seconded and every recorded vote was a unanimous 3–0 Aye. The Board noted that conditional approvals remain contingent on satisfying the relevant regulatory requirements before final license issuance.
