North Chevy Chase to post landscape solicitation and awaits intersection safety study

The Village Manager told the council on Feb. 17 that a landscape services solicitation covering mowing, clearing sidewalk overgrowth, maintaining native gardens around diverters, planting native species, and clearing specified storm drains will be posted on the Maryland Municipal League and Maryland Marketplace by Feb. 20 with a closing date of March 11. The council will receive a contract-award recommendation at the March 17 meeting.
Separately, Manager Dana Peterson said traffic‑engineering firm Brudis & Associates is completing edits to the final intersection safety study and executive summary; the manager expects the report by the March 17 meeting and plans to share it via Constant Contact, the village website, and to neighboring municipalities, school PTAs and state and county officials.
Next steps: post the solicitation Feb. 20, collect bids through March 11, and present contract recommendations and the intersection study at the March 17 meeting.
