Village Manager Dana Peterson summarized a consultant’s proposal for a village-wide community survey at the Feb. 17 meeting. The consultant recommended a two-week response window, distribution electronically via SurveyMonkey, and mailed hard-copy questionnaires for residents who request them. Peterson said the estimated time from providing the consultant with final questions and launching the survey to receiving a final report would be about six weeks.
The manager also told the council the draft questions can be edited by the Village and that Martin’s Additions (a nearby community) had achieved a 38 percent response rate, which the consultant described as good. Council members requested that the manager follow up with the consultant on cost, precise timing, and whether the final data would identify respondents by address or owner/renter status.
Next steps: the manager will return with cost and data‑collection details for council consideration.
