Village Manager Dana Peterson reported that the contract with Talk of the Town was finalized to provide a large inflatable slide, carnival games and face painting for the Village’s July 4 event. Peterson also said a catering order with Black Hog was being finalized for 250 people, including meat and sides.
The Council discussed whether to require a potluck-style dinner and ultimately decided to ask people to bring a side dish and/or dessert but not to require it. Council members also discussed soliciting voluntary contributions from residents and possibly directing those funds to the Chevy Chase Fire Department and/or the Church.
The minutes do not list contract amounts, insurance requirements, or a final catering invoice; the Village Manager was handling final confirmations.
