Council approves Montrose patio permit, conditions Kenilworth porch on tree mitigation

Because neither the contractor nor the property owner attended, the Council asked Peterson to clarify the roof construction and calculate the resulting change in impervious area before finalizing compliance requirements. The permit was approved subject to that confirmation and, if the added impervious surface triggers Section 3‑207, to planting a canopy tree to mitigate stormwater impacts.
The action follows the Council’s stated goal of minimizing stormwater runoff into Village streets and storm drains. No vote tallies or mover/second names were recorded in the meeting minutes for these permit approvals. The Council did not discuss financial assistance or rebates related to required plantings.
