At its Nov. 12 meeting, the Town of Loma Linda Board of Trustees recorded several formal approvals: approval of prior meeting minutes, adoption of a 2024 amended budget, acceptance of a street-repairs bid, approval of the financial report, and payment of routine monthly bills totaling $73,438.62.
Minutes and financial report: Trustees approved the Oct. 9 and Nov. 2 meeting minutes and the financial report as presented. Bruce Anderson moved to approve the Oct. 9 minutes (seconded by Barbara Hutchison); Aaron Hamilton moved to approve the Nov. 2 minutes (seconded by Tyler Ehrhart). Jan Woody read the financial reports; Bruce Anderson moved approval and Barbara Hutchison seconded.
Payments and abstention: The board approved payment of routine monthly bills: $28,032.74 from the General Account, $45,354.46 from the Utility Account and $51.42 from the Park Account, for a total of $73,438.62. Aaron Hamilton moved to pay the bills, seconded by Tyler Ehrhart. The meeting minutes record Trustee James Childers as abstaining from the vote.
Budget: The Finance Committee recommended approval of a 2024 amended budget. Jan Woody presented the committee's minutes; Aaron Hamilton moved to approve the amended 2024 budget, Bruce Anderson seconded, and the board approved the amendment. The board will review the proposed 2025 budget at its December meeting.
Street repairs: Bids for street repairs were opened and discussed. Aaron Hamilton moved to accept the bid from Cardinal Sitework; Tyler Ehrhart seconded and the board approved the contract award.
Procedural motions: The board voted to enter closed session, subsequently returned to open session, and adjourned the meeting at 9:45 p.m. The Town Clerk's signature and Chair James Childers' signature appear on the minutes.
