Trustees discuss rezoning of south-course lots after realtor, residents attend

At the Nov. 12 meeting of the Town of Loma Linda Board of Trustees, realtor DaMeika Kelso and residents Justin and Erin Sage attended to discuss rezoning several south-course lots to allow residential construction.
Kelso outlined the procedural steps required to change lot zoning and described options for permitting residential development. Justin and Erin Sage told the board they intend to purchase two of the south lots and asked that the town consider rezoning to permit their planned use.
After discussion of process and parameters, the board did not make an immediate zoning decision. Instead, Chair James Childers said the trustees will convene with the Architecture Committee and the property owners’ association (POA) to establish the necessary processes and parameters for rezoning and building allowances before any formal application or vote is taken.
The board did not record any timetable or specific zoning changes at the meeting; the matter will proceed through the internal committee meetings described by trustees.
