A resident asked the Town of Loma Linda Board of Trustees on Sept. 9 to consider lowering speed limits and installing speed bumps to address ongoing speeding. The trustees discussed the concerns at length and said they would consult with local law enforcement about possible mitigation measures.
Homeowners requested that Condor Road be considered for repaving; the board referred that request to the Road Committee for evaluation. Separately, realtors inquired about developing 22 south lots; trustees discussed at length that development of the south lots would require substantial expense, though the minutes do not include a cost estimate.
Town Clerk RaChelle Garman informed the board she will be out of the office Oct. 15–17, 2024; Jan Woody will fill in during those dates. The board also noted that deer season (archery only in Loma Linda) opens Sept. 15, 2024, and designated Bob Haggerty and Dave McCloud as the town's hunting coordinators.
On nuisance properties, trustees said notices and/or fines will be sent via mail to property owners; the minutes do not list specific addresses or a timetable for enforcement. No new ordinances, contracts or funding allocations were adopted during the discussion; the board took these items as direction or referral for committee or staff follow-up.
The board adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
